One Down, Sixteen To Go

Yep, one week of school down… and sixteen to go.  The semester actually seems a lot shorter when I realize that there’s only 16 weeks left, haha.  My first week of school went pretty well.  So far I’m not hating any of my classes, but I’m sure that will quickly change as I get further into the school year.  In Communications I’ve already got an oral presentation assigned.   We picked numbers yesterday and I got 24.  There’s like 30 students in the class, so I don’t have to present until September 7th.  I was kind of relieved that I got 24, but then again I kind of wanted to go earlier so I could get it over with.

We have two chooses for the topic of our presentation.  We can either talk about the most important decision that we’ve ever made and how it impacted our life.  Or we can introduce someone that we would want to bring to class as a guest speaker; dead or alive.  I’m still not sure which one I’m going to pick.  The speech is to be 3 to 5 minutes; which while I’m standing up in front of the class is going to seem forever long.  I think the rest of our presentations are going to be done in groups, so I just want this one to be over with.

But anyways, not much has been happening in my life aside from school.  I’ve just been working on homework and trying to get back into the swing of things.  I work tonight at 6, though.  It’ll be the first time I’ve worked since school started.  Thankfully I only work 5 hours.  Tomorrow, though, I have to work at 6:30am… blah.  Eek another boring blog, hopefully I’ll have something interesting to blog about in my next blog.

Here We Go Again

School is about to start again.  It seems like yesterday that I was so relieved that finals and the school year were finally over, and that I had all summer to do absolutely nothing; but now here the school year is starting all over.  I made my schedule a while ago, and kind of forgot what the classes actually were so I’ve been looking over my schedule.. and let’s just say that I’m not too excited.

1. BUS-A 201 Financial Accounting
2. BUS-L 203 Business Commercial Law
3. BUS-X 204 Business Communications
4. ECON-E 201 Microeconomics
5. MATH-M 118 Finite Math

The class I’m dreading the most is Communications.  I hate hate hate oral presentations and according to my syllabus there’s going to be lots of them, along with lots of writing assignments.  So ugh, I’m definitely going to be counting down the days until Winter Break.
